Who are the speakers?
Peter Dean, Managing Director
Peter Dean is a Chartered Accountant and Insolvency Practitioner with almost 30 years experience in corporate recovery and insolvency. In 2001 he set up The Carrington Dean Group which provides the complete range of personal debt solutions services including debt payment programmes and payment distribution services, protected trust deeds, sequestrations along with an associated remortgaging and financial services and claims management businesses. The Carrington Dean Group is Scotland’s largest independent debt solutions company. Peter is an acknowledged expert in both personal and corporate debt solutions and business recovery.

Alan McIntosh, Legal & Money Advice Training Manager.
Alan has worked as an approved money adviser and was previously employed as a trainer and social policy officer with Money Advice Scotland. He has been a contributor at a number of conferences and seminars organised by the IRRV, Credit Today, Shelter and Money Advice Scotland. He participated in the Law Society of Scotland’s Conveyancing Roadshow, delivering presentations on Part One of the Home Owner and Debtor Protection (Scotland) Act 2010 to over 700 solicitors. He regularly contributes to a number of journals, including SCOLAG and The Adviser and has recently completed a debtors manifesto which will be published in the April edition of SCOLAG.

Ed McColl, Group Technical Director
Ed McColl has been working in technology for the best part of 20 years, at senior levels, within blue chip companies such as RBS, JP Morgan and Thomas Cook. Ed joined Carrington Dean in September 2009 and is responsible for the technology strategy within the Carrington Dean group. Ed and his team are currently working on a fully integrated debt management solution, making it easier for Clients, Money Advisors and Creditors to work together more efficiently.

Jackie Frederick, Senior Manager
Jackie has been advising people in financial difficulty for the last 6 years and she now heads up the Opening and Advice Team at Carrington Dean. Jackie firmly believes that clients deserve to be fully informed of all solutions available to them so they can make an informed decision with regards to their personal circumstances . Jackie worked for the YMCA for 12 years and was previously a volunteer with CAB.

Andrew McLellan, Mortgage & Life Consultant
Andrew has worked in Financial Services since leaving University in 1994. In 2006 he joined the Carrington Dean Group as a mortgage and financial advisor.
