About us

We’re Scotland’s debt specialist

Carrington Dean is one of the UK’s longest-established debt advice and solutions companies. Founded in 2001 and based in Glasgow, Carrington Dean has helped over 45,000 people over the years.

We’re proud to be:

In 2017, Carrington Dean became part of the Creditfix Group – Britain’s largest provider of debt solutions.

Together, we work to deliver professional and personalised support to anyone struggling with debt.

Tackling the stigma of debt with advice and support

To provide expert debt advice and support to people across Scotland.

Our goal is to provide expert debt and advice to support people across Scotland. We’re often taught from a young age that we shouldn’t talk about money openly. It’s the same with debt.

We believe that it’s this attitude that stops people from seeking help and advice about their money worries and encourages those struggling to stick their heads in the sand.

It’s time for that to change.

We understand that being open about debt isn’t easy, but only by starting the conversation surrounding money issues can we help break down the barriers between you and the help you need.

Debt doesn’t discriminate – it’s something that affects people from all walks of life. As Scotland’s debt specialist we believe that everyone should have access to confidential debt advice, and we see it as our responsibility to ensure it’s readily available.

Our Core Values

Carrington Dean isn’t just like any other debt solutions firm. We hold ourselves to three strict values that place our clients firmly at the heart of our business.

In order to continue to best serve our clients we need to look to the future and that means continually evolving.

Empathy is integral to our business as our staff offer a compassionate ear for clients at a time when they need it most.

We’re committed to continually offering customers the best possible service, no matter what stage they’re at.

Carrington Dean supports The Trussell Trust

This year we’ve pledged to raise £10,000 for the Trussell Trust – an organisation dedicated to helping stop UK hunger.

Across the UK more than 14 million people are living in poverty – including 4.5 million children.

The Trussell Trust supports more than 1,200 food bank centres across the UK to provide a minimum of three days’ nutritionally-balanced food to people who have been referred in crisis.

At Carrington Dean we know first hand just how difficult it can be to cover the cost of essentials so we’re delighted to partner with an organisation dedicated to supporting those in need.

How it works

The road out of debt can be confusing, so our team is committed to making the process as straightforward as possible.

Our friendly, non-judgmental, advisors have a wealth of experience with personal debt. They’ll guide you through the process, ensure you know what your options are, and empower you with the information you need to find the best possible solution.

The process will begin with an initial, free, fact-finding call. That call will explore all possible debt solutions applicable to the customer, whether these can be provided by Carrington Dean Group Limited, Creditfix (which is part of the same group) or by a third party.

If you live in Scotland, a Trust Deed or the Debt Arrangement Scheme (DAS) may be a suitable debt solution. Trust Deeds and DAS will be provided by Carrington Dean Group Limited and fees will apply.

If you live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, an IVA may be a suitable debt solution. An IVA will be provided by Creditfix and fees will apply.

We've helped so many others just like you.
